  • The Longevity of your nail polish will depend on individual lifestyle and aftercare. Be kind to your nails and they'll be kind to you.

  • Use cuticle oil twice daily on your nails and around the nail bed and onto the nail itself

  • Wear rubber gloves when cleaning, gardening and washing up. Any products containing Deet, Lanolin or hand sanitiser can cause your polish to lift so it is best to avoid these

  • Do not bite, pick cut or file your nails as this will cause the polish to become weak and could damage your own nail

  • Avoid intense heat for at least 24 hours after application as this can cause heat spikes on your nails

  • When on holidays and using insect repellents or sun creams, tinted lotions or colouring hair products always wash your hand thoroughly afterwards

  • Ensure your polish is removed properly rather than peeling it off as this will cause damage to your nails

  • A regular manicure or pedicure keeps nails tidy and improves their appearance

  • In the event that the polish should peel or chip within the first 3 days call to book in for a quick fix

To maintain the health and longevity of your lashes in general, I highly recommend Elleeplex Advanced Aftercare Formula. It applies like a clear mascara and is great for using alone or under mascara and will greatly improve your results as your lashes begin to grow out in between lifts.

Effects will start to diminish within 4-6 weeks as lashes shed, and new growth is replaced.  You can get the treatment done again after 6-8 weeks.

Lash Lift Aftercare

  • It is recommended not to apply make up for up to 12 hours after the treatment to allow the skin to fully absorb the products used in your treatment, it also allows time for the skin to ‘breathe’ so as not to clog the pores.

  • Try to avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol where possible as these are highly dehydrating to the skin, making the skin dry and dull.

  • Drinking plenty of water (1.5 - 2 litres a day) will greatly improve the skins complexion and help rid the body of toxins giving you a healthy glow.

  • Try to avoid the sun immediately after your treatment as the top layer of dead skin cells will have been removed in your treatment therefore making your skin particularly sensitive to sunlight. Don't forget to protect your skin from UV light on a daily basis to help prevent skin damage.

  • Use products recommended to you during your treatment, aim to double-cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin twice a day and also exfoliate and apply a mask twice a week. This will improve your complexion and make your facial treatment more beneficial and effective.

Tips for super skin:

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure, which damages the skin on all levels. Use a good (preferably organic) sunscreen of at least SPF15 during the summer.

  • Do not smoke and try to avoid passive smoking. Smoking causes narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of your skin, impairing blood flow and depleting the skin of oxygen and nutrients. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin, causing the skin to sag and wrinkle prematurely.

  • Keep calm and avoid excess stress. Stress promotes an increase of free radicals in the body, a major cause of premature ageing. Regular stress causes the skin to be consistently starved of both blood and oxygen, making it dull and lifeless, less supple, less hydrated and prone to clogged pores and breakouts.

  • Limit alcohol and intake of stimulants. Alcohol in particular dilates the blood vessels in the skin and excessive drinking leads to chronic dilation of the capillaries, causing a permanent flush on the face. It also depletes vitamin A in the body.

  • Have a fantastic diet, basing it around fresh organic fruit and vegetables and the foods known to encourage healthy ageing. Choose supplements to slow the ageing process, boost your overall nutrient intake and reduce oxidative stress.

  • Hydrate! The more water you drink, the better your skin can eliminate toxins, retain moisture and stay looking youthful. Six - eight glasses is about right (choose pure filtered or mineral water).

  • Moisturise regularly, using organic ingredients to nurture and feed your skin.

Facial Aftercare

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your skin is cared for properly.

Over the next few days you may notice some slight soreness, small bumps and redness, this is common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24 - 48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24 - 48 hours.

This means:

  • No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).

  • Avoid swimming, saunas, hot tubs, massage or steam treatments.

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans).

  • No sport, gym work or other exercise.

  • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.

  • Wear clean, loose fitting clothes.

  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended to you.

  • To soothe and protect the skin, apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area regularly for 3 days following your treatment.

  • Always wash your hands before applying any product.

  • To prevent ingrown hairs: starting a few days after your appointment and then continuing a couple of times every week, exfoliate the areas you get waxed using a dry brush or exfoliating mitt. Take the brush and just before you step into the bath or shower gently brush the area you get waxed whilst your skin and the brush is dry.

  • After you’ve bathed/showered, apply some baby oil or E45 lotion to the waxed area.

  • Moisturise every day to keep the skin supple and help new hairs to grow through normally. Don’t exfoliate too much or too rough as this can graze the skin and cause ingrown hairs

You will need at least 3-4 weeks growth of hair before it can be successfully removed by waxing.  Please do not shave between your appointments

To maintain your smooth appearance, I recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks
